Grammar WRAPS
A special project for the 5 of you!!
We talk and write in words. These are the tools of our communication. We use them every day.
Grammar is like the glue that holds them together. Each word has an important and particular job to do.
By working on the 'Grammar WRAPS' I hope you'll learn lots about how words work together to create meaning. Then you can use what you've learnt so that you understand others' writing and speaking the best you can, and other people can understand you!
WRAPS stands for
W = Watch
R = Read
A = Answer
P = Practise/Poster
S = Show what you Know
Each week your group will tackle a 'part' of grammar. You'll:
W = watch the video/s
R = read the powerpoint and any other information you can find about the topic. Check the grammar box for resources.
A = answer the questions on the sheet by reading the text and using what you've learnt
P = practise what you've learned by producing a poster
S = show what you know by sharing your learning with the rest of the class. We want you to be our grammar teachers!
Your group will all be doing the same grammar topics so if you want to work together, that's fine. Teach each other and work out together how you're going to teach the class.
